A: A partial bearing is a bearing device that includes a sliding bearing for rotatably supporting a rotating shaft that receives a varying load, and an oil supply for supplying lubricating oil into a radial gap between the rotating shaft and the sliding bearing. The channel, the sliding bearing includes: a partial bearing divided at a separation surface, the separation surface being located in a plane substantially perpendicular to a direction of a maximum pressure of an oil film formed by the lubricating oil in the gap.
