6902 Bearing Short Description
6902 Bearing Features
ABEC 3 bearings come with high precision balls that are within 10/1,000,000" round, twice as round as the industry standard, at its highest level. Vacuum de-gassed process for the purest chromium alloy steel, hardened to R-62, extremely tough, and very durable. Polished to a mirror finish for ABEC-3 precision and noiseless movement.
These bearings have 35-40 % more load capacity than standard radial bearings. This is accomplished with a special design where the maximum number of balls is inserted into the bearing. The race grooves are deeper on these bearings for more lateral support for the twisting and multiple forces associated with mountain bike pivots.
Radial Ball Bearing has moderate load-carrying capacity in both radial and axial directions and is good for high speed and high accuracy. Rubber seal or metal shield on one or both sides of the bearing helps keep out dirt and contaminants. In case two seals or two shields are used, the bearing is lubricated by grease for its life when manufactured. The bearing with 10 to 75 mm bore (6000 to 6300 series) & 10 to 50 (6800 & 6900 series) improves reliability with newly designed seal and shield, and suitable grease. Quiet rotation is expected by improved accuracy of components, and saving cost and energy is also expected by lower power loss provided by low and stable running torque.
