6204 Ceramic Bearing Short Description

6204 ceramic bearing is a kind of full ceramic bearing. The all-ceramic deep groove ball bearing CE-6204-Si3N4-PTFE has ceramic bearing rings and rolling elements. Therefore, it has outstanding properties and meets even the highest demands.

Bearings with ceramic balls can insulate the inner and outer rings of the bearing. Because ceramic balls are insulators.  Ceramic balls can be used between the inner and outer rings of the bearing to achieve the insulation effect. In this way, the bearing can be used in a conducive environment. Rolling bearings are composed of rings, rolling elements, retainers, grease, and seals. When the rolling elements are made of ceramic materials, it is defined as a ceramic ball bearing.

6204 Ceramic Deep GrooveBall Bearing Features

  • Extremely durable by high hardness and corrosion resistance
  • Extremely high surface quality by greater rigidity
  • Better emergency running characteristics compared to steel ball bearings
  • Low tare weight, circa 40% lighter than bearings made of rolling bearing steel
  • Suitable for high-speed applications
  • Suitable for a dry run
  • Current-insulating, low electrical and thermal conductivity
  • Non-magnetic
  • Extremely corrosion resistant
  • Extremely resistant to chemicals
  • Suitable for foodstuff-applications
  • Temperature resistance up to circa +160°C
  • Material: silicon nitride Si3N4 (rings, balls), polytetrafluoroethylene PTFE (cage)

Ceramic hybrid bearings have steel races and ceramic balls. So, ceramic balls are suitable for applications where high loads, high speeds, and extreme temperatures are factors. Thus, long life and the need for minimal lubrication make this material appropriate for extreme applications. Ceramic is non-porous, non-magnetic, noncorrosive, and lighter than steel. In ball form, ceramic balls are also harder than steel and because ceramic balls are non-porous they are virtually frictionless and capable of spinning faster than steel balls.

6204 Ceramic Bearing Application

6204 ceramic deep groove ball bearing is widely used in corrosive environments.  Such as semiconductor production machinery, chemical processing equipment, metal plating equipment. And non-magnetic requirements (such as electron beam drawing devices, electron beam exposure equipment, testers).
