51213M Thrust Ball Bearing Short Description
Single direction thrust ball bearings consist of a shaft washer, a housing washer and a ball and cage thrust assembly. The bearings are separable so that mounting is simple as the washers and the ball and cage assembly can be mounted separately
Single direction thrust ball bearings, as their name suggests, can accommodate axial loads in one direction and thus locate a shaft axially in one direction. They must not be subjected to any radial load.
Features
1). Thrust ball bearing can handle loads in the axial direction only.
2). Bearing rings mounted on the shaft are called shaft washers, while those mounted in the housing are called housing washers.
3). Both washers contain raceways for the balls.
4). Thrust ball bearings are available as both single and bi-directional types. The bi-directional thrust bearing incorporates a third washer and an additional set of balls.
5). The center washer is located in an axial direction by a shaft shoulder and sleeve.
6). The thrust ball bearings are available in two designs: single direction and double direction.
Application
Thrust ball bearing applies only to bear a part of the axial load and low speed, such as crane hook, vertical pumps, vertical centrifuge, jack, low-speed reducer, etc. The shaft of the bearing ring, seat ring, and rolling body is separate, can be installed separately.
