Tapered roller bearings are separable bearings. The inner and outer rings can be separated. The inner ring retainer assembly can be pressed on to the shaft. When the sleeve is pressed, it should be noted that one end of the sleeve should be placed on the end face of the outer ring and should not be placed on the inclined raceway surface.
Tapered roller bearings are mostly used in pairs, and three aspects should be focused on during installation: choosing installation coordination;Adjust the axial clearance; Venus is running and detecting the temperature.
The outer ring of the original roller bearing and the housing hole of the bearing housing should not adopt interference fit. Because if the taper roller bearing adopts interference fit, it is easy to change the contact Angle of the bearing, resulting in uneven load distribution of the bearing and high temperature rise. Therefore, the inner and outer rings of this type of bearing shall be matched with the mounting of the journal and housing bore.
Adjust the axial play
For the mounting of tapered roller bearings, the bearing clearance can be adjusted by adjusting the nut on the journal, thread on the washer and the bore hole of the bearing seat, or by pretightening the spring. Axial clearance of the bearing with the size of the installation layout, the distance between bearings, shaft and bearing material, can be determined according to working conditions, for high load and high speed of tapered roller bearings, adjust the clearance must be considered when the temperature influence on axial clearance, reducing the temperature rise caused by clearance volume estimation, that is to say, the axial clearance is bigger to the appropriate adjustments. For bearings with low rotating speed and bearing vibration, no clearance should be adopted or preloaded installation should be applied. The purpose is to make good contact between the roller and the raceway of taper roller bearing, and the load is distributed uniformly, so as to prevent the roller and raceway from being damaged by vibration impact. After adjustment, the size of axial clearance is detected by the dial gauge. The dial gauge is first fixed on thefuselage or bearing seat.
Test run and test temperature
In order to make the tapered roller bearings have good contact with the raceway and obtain proper axial clearance, test run and test temperature should be carried out after the tapered roller bearings are installed and the clearance is adjusted each time. The method is to run at low speed for 2-8 minutes, then at medium speed for 2 hours, and then step by step to high speed. The test run at each speed shall not be less than 30 minutes, the temperature rise rate shall not exceed 5 degrees Celsius per hour, and the final stable temperature shall not exceed 70 degrees Celsius.
In addition, in installing and adjusting the clearance of tapered roller bearings, it should be noted that the tapered roller must be in good contact with the inner ring big baffle.
