Three Factors Affecting Bearing Life

In our daily use of bearings, improper use will reduce the service life of the bearings. Sometimes it is not necessarily the quality problem of the bearings themselves, but it is likely that there are some improper operation methods in use. Today, let's talk about the three main factors that affect the service life of the bearings.

The first is the quality of the bearing itself. The second is the use environment. The third is the installation method. If these three items are used improperly, the bearing will be damaged seriously and the equipment will be damaged. If they are not used properly, the service life of the bearing will be greatly shortened and the working efficiency of the equipment will be reduced. Then the following are three misunderstandings in distinguishing bearing quality.

1、 The bearing appearance should be dark. The factors that cause this kind of dark brightness are whether the steel used by the bearing is qualified, its grinding process, and the cutting fluid used, mainly two of them.

2、 Whether the chamfer is bright or not, the chamfer of the bearing does not determine the quality of the bearing, but it explains the processing method of the bearing. The chamfer is black. It is clear that after quenching and other heat treatment, the hardness of the bearing can be increased.

3、 The one-piece cage is better than the two-piece cage. Although the new technology uses the one-piece cage, it only saves data, and the performance of rotation is worse than the two-piece cage.
