Deep groove ball bearings are available in single row and double row designs

Single-row bearings are particularly suitable where:

1. High and very high speeds are required

2. The bearing arrangement must be operated with very low friction

3. Very low running noise is required, without reducing the speed, load-carrying capacity, and operating life of the bearing

4. High demands are made on the sealing of the bearing, without increasing heat generation or limiting the speed

5. The bearing position is to be designed particularly economically.

 

Double row bearings can be considered for bearing arrangements where: 

l The load-carrying capacity of single row deep groove ball bearings is no longer sufficient

l Axial loads in both directions and/or tilting moments must be supported in addition to radial loads

l A high load carrying capacity is required and the design envelope available in a radial and axial direction is relatively small.


 

According the sizes of deep groove ball bearings can be divided into :

 

( 1 ) miniature bearings ---- nominal diameter size range of 26mm below the bearing ;

 

( 2 ) small bearings ---- nominal diameter size range of 28-55mm bearings ;

 

( 3 ) small and medium-sized bearing ---- nominal diameter size range of 60-115mm bearings ;

 

( 4) large bearing ---- nominal diameter size range of 120-190mm bearing

 

( 5 ) Large bearing ---- nominal diameter size range of 200-430mm bearings ;

 

( 6 ) large bearings ---- nominal diameter size range of 440mm or more bearings.
