32940 Bearing Short Description

32940 bearing has tapered inner and outer ring raceways between which tapered rollers are arranged. Their design makes them suitable for the accommodation of radial and axial loads. Benefits include increased operational reliability, as well as reduced sensitivity to misalignment.

32940 Tapered Roller Bearing Features

32940 single row tapered roller bearings are designed to accommodate combined loads, i.e. simultaneously acting radial and axial loads. The projection lines of the raceways meet at a common point on the bearing axis to provide a true rolling action and therefore low frictional moments during operation. The axial load carrying capacity of tapered roller bearings increases with increasing contact angle.

Tapered roller bearings have tapered inner ring and outer ring raceways, and tapered rollers are arranged between the two. The projection lines of all cone surfaces converge at the same point on the bearing axis.

This design makes tapered roller bearings particularly suitable for bearing compound (radial and axial) loads. The axial load capacity of the bearing is mostly determined by the contact angle α; the larger the angle α, the higher the axial load capacity.

The size of the angle is expressed by the calculation coefficient e; the greater the value of e, the greater the contact angle, and the greater the applicability of the bearing to bear the axial load.

32940 Bearing Application

Tapered roller bearings are widely used in industries such as automobiles, rolling mills, mining, metallurgy, and plastic machinery.
